Ghosts from the Turn of the Millenium

Alter Bridge, Daughtry, Sevendust

„What Lies Within Euro Tour“ presented by Mind Over Matter at Planet TT Raiffeisenhalle im Gasometer Wien, Austria 20260130

End of January, and endless show options: Looking beyond the city border, Lorna Shore play at Arena Nova Wiener Neustadt, Yunger at Stadttheater Grein or Verrat at Schlachthaus Dornbirn. The Planet Festival Tour features The Devastation and Gehörsturz, Voodoo Hop presents The Jackets and Wild Evel & The Trashbones, Neulich hosts Flava In Ya Ear and Maria Magdalena presents his debut at Spektakel.

Finally, Mind Over Matter Music has the next interesting combination of nostalgic Nu Metal and Alternative Rock in reserve at Gasometer like Drowning Pool amongst others. To experience the full offer, the fans of Sevendust arrive early, as they start at 7 pm. It’s been ‚37 years‘ – no 15 since they played the very location, and even longer since Nova Rock

Limited to only thirty minutes, they enter with „Black“ and the new „Is This the Real You“. Singer Lajon Witherspoon shares his thoughts ‚as human‘, that ‚we are all equal‘ coming to „Enemy“. The remaining „Praise“, „Crucified“ and „Face to Face“ leave no doubt, that they are still a Metal powerhouse, that hopefully will return to nearby stages sooner then this time.

Between this raw energy and the final main act, Daughtry is the bridge of the two. Named after mastermind Chris Daughtry, the band played e.g. Tips Arena Linz before. Their set includes the Journey cover „Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)“ and the sold out Gasometer is definitely warmed up for the headliner.

Myles Kennedy toured as singer of Slash, while guitarist Mark Tremonti came from Creed and has a solo project. Both are in Alter Bridge, who visited e.g. Nova Rock as well soon after their debut album and kept returning ever since, now with their new self-titled record (Napalm Records).

So next to hits like „Cry of Achilles“ or „Fortress“, „Ghost of Days Gone By“ from „AB III“, their very first song as a band „Open Your Eyes“ or the wonderful „Broken Wings“ are part of the set. Pumped with the adrenaline, High Voltage Fairies in the Pit at Viper Room is the right place to go on dancing and chatting about music projects like Infinite Universe
