Indra (EP 2025)
Austin TV
Post rock
After their latest album Rizoma (2023), Austin TV surprised us with a new EP, Indra.
As their fourth album stated, we are all part of a total, a bigger being, we are connected and linked from the core, the center of our beings and roots to life. So, Indra arrives with a meta-message, the same idea of connectedness but from a higher state in this fractal universe.
It all starts with a simple intro, “Todo lo que es” (Everything that is), a spatial sound that takes us backward from the personal point of view to the upper state of things.
Mental state to meet our character, “Indra“, ruler of the heavens, God of gods. Ominous presentation,
not to be intimidated but aware of the new perspective. The new view of our own immensity and insignificance at once. From up here, we all look like cells, not any cell, neurons interconnected in a rhizomatic manner.
Once met, we start listening (noticing) “Patrones en el vacío” (Patterns in the Void) we are startled by this void, inner or outer, we are not sure, but we can see and hear:
“
Todas las estrellas se reflejan en ti.
En tu sonrisa, en tus lágrimas.
Somos un baile en sincronía.
En el vapor precipitado de la lluvia,
en el viento que acaricia,
en el vuelo de las nubes,
en el miedo,
en la compasión,
en el perdón.
Un latido …
Una cosa no existe sin la otra
Nunca, nunca nada morirá.
“
(
All the stars are reflected in you.
In your smile, in your tears.
We are a dance in sync.
In the rushing mist of the rain,
in the caressing wind,
in the flight of the clouds,
in fear,
in compassion,
in forgiveness.
A heartbeat…
One thing does not exist without the other.
Nothing will ever, ever die.
)
And yet, after all, in this vast universe, “Aún así nos conocimos” (We still met).
