The Hypercosmic Paradox (Album 2025)

Chaos Over Cosmos

Progressive Metal, Technical Death Metal, Melodeath

Multi-instrumentalist Rafal Bowman did it again. Three years after „A Dream If Ever There Was One“, he teamed up with singer Taha Mohsin from Pakistan to lay down the next Tech Death Melo Prog Metal opus.

Entitled „The Hypercosmic Paradox“, the new Chaos Over Cosmos full-length spreads the aura of the fantastic unreal, also manifested in the artwork by Marzena Pawlus. It display a sun, a sphere like the Death Star and a spacecraft like a Star Destroyer. Stylized, the dead eyes of a roman emperor look into the past, and one young eye to the statue on its side.

A female and a male face of ancient gods stare deep into space on the back, as the violent storm of riffs breaks in with „Nostalgia For Something That Never Happened“. From the very first second, it is technical virtuosity at its finest as likes of Scitura celebrate it, and a wonderful intense mess in one’s head, awakening all synapses. And it feels like the manifestation of the Chaos Over Cosmos signature sound since „The Unknown Voyage“ 2018.

Diving into this swirl of sound is „When The Void Laughs“. Industrial and Djent vibes can be heard at every corner, rhythmic actions like KaaK or Igorrr. The great vocals of Taha Mohsin remind e.g. of the powerful voice of Max Cavalera. Still the main direction is straight to Death as „Even Horizon Rebirth“.

So in a Progressive mix, more references like Anderwelt, Assemble The Chariots or Luís Maldonalle can be found – melodic, heavy and captivating. Spacy noises run over by speed get „The Cosmo-Agony: Requiem“. Finally, „The Fractal Mechanism“ leaves the ancient gods in the universe dancing to the beat. And oneself can find a feeling of completeness, continuing the journey with the spacecraft to nowhere.
