Hold you close in dancing shoes
Solar Noir, Excuse Me, Lily
Indie Night at Kramladen Wien, Austria 20250117
‚It’s Friday night, it’s cold‘ the event details set it right. The Physik Metalfest, Soap&Skin, Camo tape release, Woke’s release, Phil Shoenfelt & Southern Cross and The Rudy Tunes are on. Still we go to ‚grab a drink in Kramladen and forget about life for a bit‘ at the Indie Night.
Another live club presenting theme evenings is the today’s G5, where 90 played at Rock Night recently and Excuse Me, Lily appeared before as well as at Superbude. While their name reminds of Excuse Me Moses, their Indie Pop has a lot of Amber Road with a lot of acoustic guitar, keys, a violine and even Rap parts.
They are here to make one ‚feel even better‘ after their show, including songs their fans know the lyrics already like „Before I Fall For You“, „One More Day“ or „Good And Pretty“. And they brought new material with them and shine under Gürtel lights of the moving heads.
In the meantime, an ORF team has entered Kramladen to capture some of the atmosphere and the first few tunes of Solar Noir. They joined the open mic at The Church before and Garfield is their constant companion. An early highlight is „The Car“ and their likeable performance including a tambourine and dancing with the audience.
A cover, the quiet „Hold Me Close“ and „The Song I Never Wrote“ take them to their upcoming single and the brand-new „Skin On Skin“ (same title as the QOTSA–hit). „Horrors Of Modern Life“ tells about the pressure of being good in everything like at work, the gym, with one’s lover and friends, what can get too much.
After an extended guitar intro, they play their final „Constraints“. Punk and quiet moments and relaxed dancing, Solar Noir combine it all live. And just the night after, Tape Capitol kick off the Riot events series ‚for the hard and heavy‘ with Gnagg & Gnia at Kramladen.
