Toxic and Deadly Top off

Malignant Tumour, Crumble, Pivnica, Nowitschok-5

Maximum Rock’n’Roll over the Balkan! Tour 2025 Part II, Arena Wien – Dreiraum, Austria 20250501

Day two after Amenra and Gallowhead at Arena, that again provides two options: Loikaemie, No Servium and Rawside bring Oi!- and Streetpunk to the big hall. Whereas at Dreiraum across the yard, four bands are up for maximum Grind, Hardcore, Thrash and Rock’n’Roll presented by Axa Valana.

In the beginning is the poison: Nowitschok-5, labeled like a nerve agent, the local outfit shared the stage with likes of Sedem Minút Strachu, Obscene Revenge, Vacunt, Kobra Süd or Gastronomic Error. Rotten Falafel captured two of their shows already, as they rant against hypocrites with full speed.

Then Pivnica from Slovakia charge this high velocity with some solos. God Mother come to ones mind, as they bring in ‚fresh air‘, dedicate one song to the good teachers and speak out for responsible drinking. With the drummer on vocals as well, they shout their message out of the building.

We Will CRUMBLE the System“ is the credo as the style shifts towards Crossover Thrash Speed Metal Punk. Hailing from Cluj Napoca / Transylvania, Crumble are kind of the topping to this lineup of musical weaponry. They have the artwork of their first record on their backdrop and let their fans raise their fists to the ceiling.

Finally a deadly disease serves as closure: Malignant Tumour from Ostrava, Czechia stand for crusty Rock’n’Roll with Motörhead appeal. They are on „Overdose&Overdrive“ and dedicate songs to visitors travelling from Prague and Sarajevo to see them live. „Maximum Rock’n’Roll“, the title of their latest album basically says it all.

So they set out to tour for ten shows, starting with this one at Arena, that the ORF honors with some archive footage. And as the open air summer will fade, Malignant Tumour will return later this year for the RTE Festival at Escape Metalcorner.
