This July Saturday comes with clouds, few raindrops and heat. At Kramladen, Lightts beckons with Electro Pop. The Kultursommer hosts AYE-sight at Wilhelmsdorfer Park. And Die Grünen Wien celebrate the final concert of this year’s fifth edition of Musik am Fluss on the Donauinsel. 

Passing the lighthouse and sculpture ‚Die Passanten‘ on the hill between Reichs- and Brigittenauer Brücke, deck chairs and blankets wait for the visitors. Drinks and ice cream and ashtrays for smokers are available and tunes from Cousines Like Shit and The Kooks take turns with the „Harry Lime Theme“ like Peter Ratzenbeck stuck in the head after the museum. 

It is important to create consumption-free spaces, the organizers of the party assert. Also they explain their mission to remove impervious surfaces for less days of heat, create more rehearsal rooms and support queer and female musicians. And so rapper Spilif and her band featuring Andy Tom Joseph Steiner and Sebastian Schweiger. 

With ZUGABE Booking, unserallereins and Feberwolle (NEPS, Philipp Spiegl etc.) on their side, it is their third gig in a row after Acoustic Lakeside and Frikulum Sommerfest. The set of almost twenty tracks includes all hits like „retrospektiv“ and „Angeberei“. Talking about defeat, they tell that if you stop something, you should start something that is more fun. 

After „I quit“, „Rap ist“ and „Tetris“, Jo Stöckholzer joins for a song. Another highlight is „memento mori“, but also new ones from the upcoming album are well received like „Nordkette“ with several voices. Named after their home mountain chain, the Tyroleans are curious about Vienna’s local one, which is the Kahlenberg. 

„nichts zu wünschen“, „Nazaré“ and the title track of the debut „irgendetwas das du liebst“ come close to the end. After, the winners of the competition for vinyls are announced. And while Spilif will play Beserlpark Festival and return to the city in autumn, the evening can be continued dancing at USUS am Wasser or Chelsea or chilling at Damenspitz.
