Charismatic Leaders Tour presented by Mind Over Matter Music at Chelsea Wien, Austria 20241203

Northern winds bring the cold those days and intense music as well. Cadû celebrate another Psychotic Parade, while Sólstafir and Oranssi Pazuzu teamed up for the Nordic Descent tour. And Mind Over Matter Music hosts another sold out headliner show at Chelsea, where the DeeCRACKS let it crack the night before.  

Since Molybaron unfortunately was not part of the line-up anymore, the amazing Múr from Iceland joined. The young quintet starts heavily doomy, stomping with the feet on the balustrade. From then on, they let the room feel the power of their contemporary Metal, that even features a keytar and they recently banned on their self-titled debut album. 

As the concert started pretty early, some guests missed this compelling warm-up. But after a short break, it is time for one of the most acclaimed Finnish exports next to Swallow The Sun or Cemetery Skylines: Wheel have found a two year rhythm of touring, since they played with Leprous back in 2022. 

They point out that they are happy to have this sold out headlining show to present their new album „Charismatic Leaders“. In the intense heavy parts, they like to step on the balustrade too. And in the quiet passages, it becomes obvious how attentively the audience is listening. 

The room is filled to the wall in the back, as Wheel take it fluently to the finals with „Vultures“. They introduce their new bassist and teach some Finnish: „Vitun kova“ before the massive lead single „Empire“. Five low strings, effects, rushing drums and a long breath in singing make them this Progressive highlight. 

With a play time of almost two hours, they come to an end with „Wheel“. And still it could have lasted longer, as their energy does not fade and it is enjoyable to see them in such a ‚small‘ club fully packed.
