In popular culture, there are big names like Iron Maiden or Guns N Roses, who play at Ernst-Happel-Stadion this year. Others like U2 or Metallica brought up the idea of a 360° stage. Nowadays, there are new names and new trends with them. So while Dan Plews plays at the U-Bahn-Stars spot at Westbahnhof, we continue to Wiener Stadthalle. 

Many fans arrived way earlier, to be part of the numbering of who will get in first. Because of fake tickets by scammers, some don’t manage to get in, as the queue goes through the park three times. Half an hour later, most people are ready for Tom Odell, who will return at the end of the year with Oska as support. 

His band includes a brass section and a mandolin at a point. As he plays his big hit „Another Love“, the fans sing, dance and scream with him. But the noise level will even increase, as a cube rises in the middle of the stage and Billie Eilish begins with „Chihiro“ and „Lunch“ from „Hit Me Hard And Soft“. 

With her charisma, she has got everyone on her side from the very first second and to the very last corner. To reach all of them, she runs und jumps from side to side. But for „when the party’s over“, she needs everyone to be quiet for a minute to loop her vocals. In other moments, the light and visuals on the floor are even a bit creepy like the red for „The Diner“. 

Coming to „bad guy“, Billie Eilish picks up an action cam to film herself and later the audience as well. They on their side put up a fan project for „The Greatest“, coloring the flashlights with paper. Then an acoustic part in the center follows, before Billie Eilish enters the B-stage with a high jump. 

Billie Eilish does not need a big orchestra or dancers. But the light is impressive, building a carpet or flooding the stage for „ocean eyes“. The singer herself can conduct her fans or just sit in the middle. Anyway, all of them will go home that night and tell it was the greatest.
