Coming to indoor festivals, the Rockhouse Salzburg provides the traditional space for events like the Heavy Psych Sounds Fest. Another three-days series brought names from Stoner to Extreme Metal like Siena Root, Mantar, Candlemass, Distaste, Vinsta or Weltenbrandt to the venue nestled against the Kapuzinerberg. 

After two days at the ‚small dome‘ – the Rockhouse Bar, the third night under the sign of Black Metal is at the big hall. On the way from the main station, the Ludwig invites for a drink before. Then the dark arts start with Melodic Black / Death Metal from Linz. Graufar deliver a solid show for the beginning like at Wacken, performing songs from „Scordalus“ as well as material from the upcoming next album. 

Darkfall then bring in the Thrash side like at Metal Escalation. The fracture has healed, and similar to the Conan quote in their intro, they can „Ride trough the Sky“ and „Tides of War“ again. They seize the opportunity to present a new song too and look forward to their ballad „Rise to Dominate“. 

Band number three on the billing is Firtan. They travelled to Escape Metalcorner last year and toured with „Ethos“ to the Vienna Metal Meeting warm-up. Highlights of their set are „Wogen der Trauer“ from their 2014 debut „Niedergang“ and the latest „Wermut hoch am Firmament“. 

AOP Records label colleagues Harakiri for the sky like to play ((szene)) and just got back from Australia. The letters HFTS shine in the back, as they open with „I, Pallbearer“ from „Mære“ and the fantastic „Fire, Walk with Me“ from „Arson“. They take the time to play their long songs, yet time flies. 

And so soon, they have reached the encore with „Heroin Waltz“ and the Placebo cover „Song to Say Goodbye“. In 2025, singer J.J. will be on stage with Karg again. Meanwhile at Rockhouse, Svarttjern, Drive Moya, Ultima Radio, Nornir, Royal Republic and Glue Crew are only few names to come. And flyers announce the Alpine Asylum Armageddon, Julfest and Ellendes „Todbringerin“ release with Perchta.
