Raw Melancholic Euphoric Lo-Fi Indie

In times of perfect production and AI support, in the same moment there is a trend to rough sound and live tunes. This discrepancy is kind of symbolized on the single cover of „enjoy.your.life.“, as some molleton hangs on stands in the middle of a forest and (fake) fog circles around the guitarist before it. 

ghostdog. not only is one part of Lucy Dreams (now automatically reminding of Cadû’s „Lucid Dreaming“ and soon live with Mother’s Cake). The solo project already brought forth the cinematic debut „sweetest“. The new song was recored at the living room, reminiscing on the attempt of the end of radio. 

Inspired by a picture from Iceland and Snorri Hallgrímsson like Mikael Akerfeldt felt inspired by Scott Walker in rainy Stockholm, it was rediscovered after years. Like the favourite darkness of Anton Corbijn, it imagines the good in even the gloomier sides of existence: „That’s your beautiful life.“ 

These words are repeated in the chorus. At the transition, it makes think of U2, in other moments of Colin Hay (like in Scrubs and who toured with Ringo Starr). The guitar and distorted voice make think of Eels and The Devil’s Trade in the best way, and finally several layers bring up the ‚softer Kasetti 2012 trinity‘ with Kairon; IRSE!, Streak and the Raven and Softengine. 

Matching the inspiration, the nature in the video boy mad bucket prod. is similar to the one in Finland and Scandinavia or a Caspar David Friedrich painting. Actually it was shot at the border of Lower Austria and Styria, at the ‚Gedenkkapelle am Hochwechsel‘, that appears halfway through the song. 

A plastic sheet surrounds ghostdog. and psychedelic effects apply the cozy living room feeling of the recording. Laying in the grass, moss will cover the musician until the last breath leaves the mouth, letting a new flower grow.
