October of concert continues: Local highlights like Tape Moon or Lightts can be found at Gürtel. Intra present „Glass Bed Memories“ at Arena Dreiraum. And right next at the big room, Roadtrip To Outta Space brings up the next heavy distortion. 

Tonight’s double package features two bands from Oakland, starting with the Death Metal Punks Necrot. They appeared with likes of Carcass and Brujería before and play a fantastic bland of brutal Old School rhythms like Deicide or Daksinroy. Live, the trio convinces with mighty fine tunes like „Empty Hands“ from their debut album „Blood Offerings“ or „Drill the Skull“ from the recent „Lifeless Birth“. 

Warmed up by those neck loosing riffs, High On Fire are up next. Since 1998, they bring monstrous groovy Sludge Stoner Metal to the world, as likes of Orange Goblin or Betzefer. Phil Mucci’s video for „Fertile Green“ from „De Vermis Mysteriis“ is a classic, and in bars like the Brauhund, gig posters by Michael Hacker can be found. 

With their successor of „Electric Messiah“ named „Cometh the Storm“, they follow the path. The set also includes songs from „Death Is This Communion“ like „Rumors of War“ and goes back over twenty years to „The Art of Self Defense“ with „Baghdad“ and „Surrounded by Thieves“ with „Hung, Drawn and Quartered“. 

The heavy notes rumble through the room and the power of guitar, bass and drums make the listeners smile. Soon High On Fire will be out with Acid Bath, Obituary and Necrofier, and at Great American Music Hall in SF with Secret Chiefs, Takaat and Ölüm. At the merchandise table, they got everything from shirts, vinyls, tapes to posters. 

And while High On Fire and Necrot continue their tour, terminating in Istanbul, RTOS added new names to the calendar with Belzebong, Earth, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Hällas, Crippled Black Phoenix and Russian Circles.
