Friday the 13th. Nova Rock is in its second half after Korn and Linkin Park with likes of Refused, Airbourne, Biffy Clyro and Slipknot. Raphael Urban (formerly Urban Dendrite and Conan Paul) plays at the „As in Air, Artifact“ & Novemberjahre exhibition by Matthias Urban and Toni Witzel at Spitzer im Odeon. And Roadtrip To Outta Space invites to their summer celebration at Arena. 

When this concert series invites, fans and bands pilgrimage to Erdberg. On the poster by Thomas Gasperlmair, Speck are announced but unfortunately had to cancel. Bum Shelter took their place, who just played with Eyehategod at Kapu and will play at Vienna City Trails the day after. 

There sound comes like a heavy Metal thunder, with brutal vocals ranging from deep growls to high screams. Their set includes „Eagle Piss“ and they promote their merchandise consisting of shirts and tapes in two versions, a Czech one and the ‚original‘ released via Capeet Records. 

Fantasy Doom Metal heroes Castle Rat just published a new music video for „Wizard“ promoted by Purple Sage PR. On stage, they have fake fire bowls on both sides and their iconic costumes. During their show, they tell a whole story, how the guitarist turned to a vampire, and the fight against everyone who wants to ‚destroy the kingdom‘ of The Rat Queen. 

A bass solo must not be missing like „Cry For Me“ and the audience answering to ‚now is forever‘ – ‚in this realm!‘ to defeat the enemy. In a final fight, The Rat Queen raises the sword, but will she win this battle? 

Similar to likes of Ghost or Cult Of Fire, the show is important for Castle Rat. But their classy Doom is amazing as well. And as they clear the stage, the Heavy Lezzers: Cult of Heavy Metal DJ Team takes over the booth at the Beisl.
