Tens Danko & Eighties Alice Blended

Royal Republic, Storm Orchestra

The LoveCop Tour presented by Jolly Roger & radio 88.6 at Arena Wien – Große Halle, Austria 20250209

There is a whole lot of music going on in the far east of Vienna this Sunday. The Devil Wears Prada and Mehnersmoos are on the schedule of Planet.tt. Meanwhile at the big hall of Arena, Jolly Roger presents an additional show after a sold out Saturday.

Two screens with flowers of „Bright Soul“ flank both sides of the stage and the backdrop displays the logo of Storm Orchestra from Paris in the middle. The distorted bass and super crisp sound help to catch the ear immediately with songs like „Piece Of You“. ‚Welcome back‘, the group greets the returning guests of the day before and dedicate „Drummer“ to a drummer in the room.

They obviously are with the band for their latest single „Superplayer“ as well and for the final „Suspect“ build a choir. So the fans are ready for the second Vienna show of Royal Republic from Malmö. They are kind of the link between heavy Scandinavian Rock’n’Roll like Audrey Horne or The Hellacopters and the classic Mando Diao / The Hives Indie squad.

Touring with five albums brought them to Club Vaudeville, RiV, Rock Antenne Österreich Kickoff Party and further. Tonight, they celebrate „LoveCop“ with own lights, lightning and luminescent instruments. „Getting Along“, „Baby“ and „Stop Movin’“ are in the first part as well, until „Full Steam Spacemachine“ marks the halftime.

Written to be played live like „Enough Space“, they want especially new fans to experience it ‚like 15 years ago‘. Two acoustic songs and „Freakshow“ follow, before singer Adam gets down to the dance floor to the sound of the „Top Gun Anthem“ with a Snickers as present and to play „Ain’t Got Time“.

With „Lazerlove“, the encore block includes a ballad, snippets of „Sweet Home Alabama“, „Raining Blood“ and then „Battery“ before the closer and Bob Dylan’sThe Man In Me“ from „The Big Lebowski“. The end of a perfect set structure and great fun show, photographed by Andreas Graf
