Sinnesrauschen Festival – Day 1, Haus der Musik Wien, Austria 20250328

Quarter of a century ago, the Haus der Musik opened its doors. With an interactive museum, it provides also room for live music like from Amelie Tobien. To celebrate the anniversary, they cooperate with Der Standard and Blue Bird Vienna to bring a special lineup to the roofed courtyard like Good Wilson or Please Madame before, while Yunger honors the Unders again

As the Sinnesrauschen festival is free with no possibility to reserve a ticket, you have to be there at least half an hour earlier to be sure to get in. And as they close the entry, there is still a queue going around the block. But already during the first band Gardens, the first ones give back their wristband to make place for more visitors.

The band features Peter The Human Boy, who played the event before already but is almost finished at this point. Then Spoon Agency act Kässy (also Sharktank) follows, who is a star on fm4 with hits like „Milk“ and „I Feel So Heavy  .。・゚゚・ (>_<) ・゚゚・。“ from „I’m Going Somewhere Better Later“.

There is a certain Grunge impact in the sound and attitude, and about a year ago, she supported Bilderbuch as she tells. 80s hymns like „Let’s Dance“ then prepare for Ankathie Koi, who started the year with an tour after the last Vienna show at Porgy & Bess

After few English songs, the focus is on „Pikant“. As Michael Schatzmann plays the bongos on „Baby Boy“, the audience sings with the band. Before „Hurricane“ only accompanied by rossvanboss on bass, Ankathie Koi fights for equal rights. Nick Ratterton has his solo moment on keys as well and „Amour Fou“ and „Rette Sich Wer Kann“ are more highlights.

At the end, Ankathie Koi invites several fans on stage. And then it is time for the final act of day one Salò, who sold out Arena lately and marks another change of the audience. Unfortunately, the loud punky sound is not made for this courtyard. Still the second day will continue with Bon Jour, Hearts Hearts, Culk and Mavi Phoenix..
