Devil Commanded Death Trip

Static-X, dope, Wednesday 13

European Tour 2025 presented by TON Music Productions, SIMMCity Wien, Austria 20250805

There are days when it would be hard to choose, but luckily the early bought ticket takes away the decision: Max Cavalera visits ((szene)) with Nailbomb, while Black Rabbit presents Cadû at Arena Beisl Bierwoche. And at SimmCity, TON Music hosts a fantastic evening of Industrial, Nu Metal and Horrorpunk like back in 2019

Because of the great line-up, most of the several hundred fans queue before the entrance. Inside, a coffin is the eye-catcher of the merchandise table. Soon enough, the show begins with Wednesday 13, who honored Chelsea in 2017. They are on festival tour and fill in this evening with the brand new album „Mid Death Crisis“ out via Napalm Records.

So the new songs like „When the Devil Commands“ singing ‚Hell‘ – ‚666‘ fit with classics like „Summertime Suicide“ by the Murderdolls or „I Walked With a Zombie“ going ‚see you in the graveyard at midnight‘. The raw energy is taking over, as they finish with speed rounds of „I Love to Say Fuck“, waking off stage accompanied by Kiss

Then dope take over showing similarities to Drowning Pool, Saliva or Sevendust. Starting with „Blood Money“, they ‚fuck tomorrow‘ with „Bring It On“. They are excited that ‚music travels‘ oceans and they can play e.g. Pol’and’Rock or Brutal Assault.

Heart of the show are „Die MF Die“ and „I’m Back“ and dope give credit to a guy in a banana costume and a Wayne Static look-alike. Because Static-X is the main act after the „You Spin Me Round“ cover, who played Nova Rock 2009 still with their iconic frontman, who passed away in 2014.

So they take their fans on a „Wisconsin Death Trip“, with huge puppets and foam flake canons. The song highlights „I’m With Stupid“ and „Push It“ they save for the end. And the interest is big in the photo pit including Frau Frostwind, Pix666, Andreas Graf, Eclipse New Media, DB Photography and VVR visuals. Coming up next by TON Music are Vienna Metal Meeting, Afsky, Dopelord, Sinister and more.
