Lately Roadtrip To Outta Space went trippy with likes of Stygian Bough or Godspeed You! Black Emperor, promoted with posters by Subterranean Prints or aplacefortom. This Wednesday, it goes deep in history of Noise Rock, with pioneers from New York like the mighty Helmet. 

The stamp on the arm of the weekend is just gone, there goes the next one at Arena. The logo, the artworks and topics, Unsane manifest with their music since the late 80s. Nowadays, they are part of Southern Lord as likes of Okkultokrati, Scream or Sunn O))) and played the very (small) hall before together with desolat (who are on exactly in one week with Lvmen). 

‚We’re almost there‘, guitarist Chris Spencer smiles, then changes his face telling ‚fuck fucking Trump‘. His face a grimace and his eyes piercing through the crowd, he starts the rant together with Dave Curran on bass and Vinny Signorelli beating the devil out of his drumkit. 

Maltreating their instruments to the furthest, the energy and volume chop one’s head open, destroying all worries of the day, melting them in furious sound. Chris spits fire and brimstone, while the bottleneck rushes across the guitar neck. „Against The Grain“, he asks to „Understand“ – or more demands it. 

Another highlight is the final encore „Only Pain“, getting all feelings togehter once more. The concert is wonderful, yet short without support, but extremely intense right up to the end. An hour and a bit to relief and lift the spirits. Taking down the stuff, Chris takes time to chat and take pictures. 

Leaving happily, the next RTOS is up the day after with Spiral Drive and Nightstalker, Truckfighters, Crippled Black Phoenix, Russian Circles, Nebula, Acid King, ORB, Fu Manchu and more will follow..
