7th Lemmy Memorial Party at Viper Room Vienna, Austria 20241221

Some events grow bigger and gain more and more popularity. One is the Lemmy Memorial Party in Vienna. Since it was relocated to Dreiraum, it moved another time to Viper Room last year – and was sold out. And for its 7th edition, almost all tickets are gone before the start as well. 

So at opening time, the first fans queue, also because there are limited shirts with the artwork by Bernie Luther. Tracks from likes of Avatar and Godsmack put everyone in the right mood. And as Ozzy and Black Sabbath gather the masses, singer Franz Bauer of Roadwolf can conduct them singing the line. 

Like Venator, the Wolf was another member on the cruise. Their strong and friendly attitude makes each live appearance special. Their set consits of Heavy Metal headbangers like „Don’t Deliver Us (From Evil)“, „Wheels Of Fire“ and the title track of their latest full-length „Midnight Lightning“. 

Asking if the audience is in Christmas mood, they continue with „Mark Of The Devil“, feature the cowbell in „Supernatural“ and then „Unchain The Wolf“. Like this, the crowd that fills the basement to the very back is definitely in the right mood for more Rock’n’Roll. 

And this comes traditionally from supergroup The Röad Crew performing Motörhead, fronted by Wildhunt gitarero Wolfgang Elwitschger. His voice fits perfectly, as they start their show with „Run Rudolph Run“ as special from the Metal sampler. 

Their extended tracklist includes classics and rarities the Motörhead fan heart is longing for: „Iron Fist“, „Damage Case“, „I Got Mine“, „Love Me Forever“, „Dancing On Your Grave“, „The Chase Is Better Than The Catch“, „God Was Never On Your Side“ and many more. 

For „Hellraiser“, Roadwolf return to the stage, before they go into the finals with „Louie Louie“, „Bomber“, „Heroes“, „Ace Of Spades“ and „Overkill“. And so another wonderful evening with the best music ever written played by probably one of its best tribute bands is not over yet.
