Earth And Space (Single 2023)
Magnolian Moods
Krautrock, Acid Folk, Mystic Jazz, Psychedelic Funk
Citys like Salzburg close to nature are beautiful for example in autumn, when the leaves turn colourful. Passing the Makartplatz in spring displays another beautiful image: blossoming Magnolian trees. Maybe a picture like this has inspired the band name of the following world music act.
All warm and joyful colors are melt on the single cover of Magnolian Moods. In an artistic frame, the branches with blossoms are in front in a glas. Behind some trees, there is the water of probably a quiet river floating towards the horizon, where it looks like the sun is just going up like in the east at lake Neusiedl.
This is where Sebastian comes from, formerly member of Sunhaze Reflection. Now he is part of this eight-piece, that unveils its first single after the ‚Live at Impulse Session‘. In this big band format like the Liberation Orchestra, they want to invite to dream and dance.
The bass in the very beginning reminds of the The Doors on the one and groovy movie scores like „Piedone Lo Sbirro“ on the other hand. The rhythm and brass then brings up Fainschmitz, before the singing adds an Progressive flavor like we know from Opeth or Jana Draka.
In transitions of the composition with a duration of almost duration, some lounge and Hellsongs atmosphere unfolds. Spiced up with a little classic Jazz and the accentuated vocal line, the Pop appeal of Ivery comes up as well.
„Earth And Space“ like the title says, the planet and the infinity that surrounds it, the invisible end of the river on the cover, the rebirth of the blossoms, Magnolian Moods definately manage to let you dream. And dance probably as well, as they would greatly fit e.g. into the lineup of next year’s Lovely Days with Status Quo, Uriah Heep, Earth, Wind & Fire, Nazareth, Canned Heat, Ten Years After and Wir4.
