True Rockstar Moments
Ivery
„Crack Of Light“ Album Releaseshow at Club Lucia Wien, Austria 20260522
When the weather is nice, there is there is hardly anything better than kicking off the weekend at the Gürtel. Coming from Josefstädter Straße in the north, the way leads passing by Kramladen, rhiz, Coco and Chelsea to Lucia, where e.g. Roksy and Roba partied before.
The day has come for Ivery to release her very first full-length album. Ten songs, she presents alongside some older classics. Just the day before, FM4 sound park streamed a listening session through the record, giving background information. Live, Ivery starts her first set solo, before Viktoria Hofmarcher (no string quartet) joins on clarinet.
Bassist Thorsten Kaiser (Schiefer) played „Cuckoo Honey Cape“ on the album and therefor joins on stage as well with guitarist Simon Blankenbichler (Carlos). After „Dusty Eyes“, drummer and Michi Schatzmann (AF90, Ankathie Koi) and bassist Tobias Pöcksteiner (Maria Magdalena) enter for the first time for the title track. „Middle Of Nowhere“ features a sample of her godchild, and with „Ochrasy“, Ivery ends her first ‚stripped down set‘ and makes a break.
For the full band set, Johannes Schweiger (Rian, Ness) and Vanessa Weber complete the band line-up. Starting with the mighty „Bird On The Wire“ as perfect opener and with new outfit, Ivery appears like a real Rockstar. Hits like „Wild Love“ or „You Let Me Down“ alternate with new songs like „Crocodile Tear“. „Fingers Full Of Lipstick“ talks about addictions, and „Drifting’“ is Ivery’s ‚hymn against loneliness‘.
After „Lost Dreams“, she takes time to thank the long list of supporters including her family and sound engineer Matthias Zeindlhofer. More highlights are „Believer“ and „Hearts Of Steel“, before a fantastic release show comes to an end with two more encores.
Ivery truly has found her way, her sound and her live power. The album „Crack Of Light“ is available on vinyl via Ink Music, and on Sunday, the show continues at Lucia with the Gürtel Connection and likes of Yunger and Binary Boy.
