Beginning of November and the city is broiling in the cold: Schema B and others are at the St. Marx Soli, at Escape is Black Metal Invasion, Bum Shelter play at Beisl, Für Chiara at G5. And two of the main protagonists of the German Rap generation of the turn of the millennium teamed up for a new album and tour, stopping by at Flex. 

This special show is presented by Spoon Agency on the one hand, who hosted ‚20 Jahre Bonaparte‘ recently, and 50 Years of Hip Hop on the other, having Xzibit on their schedule. At the famous club at the Danube canal, where Danko Jones rocked lately, the beats by likes of Mobb Deep or Nas fill the night. 

Without any support act, Afrob and Ferris MC hit the stage. Both released their very first album in 1999 and can look back on an eventful past. Ferris MC even was part of Deichkind and founded a Punkrock band like Philiam Shakesbeat had one before. Collaborations include the who-is-who of the scene like Curse, Eko Fresh or Die P. 

One of the features on the new album „Ein Fall für Zwei“ is „Mitternacht“ with Jan Delay (Die Beginner), with which the duo starts. On the decks, they have ‚DJ Terrorizer‘ with them. ‚The average age is higher‘ at their shows, as they assert. Apart from their new tracks, they perform older solo ones like „Rolle Mit Hip Hop“ (Afrob) or „Flash For Ferris MC“. 

In a medley, they celebrate their historic tunes like „Adriano“ or „Four Fists“ and between, they play snippets by likes of DMX. They grow up buying music physically, and so within the two-hours-set, they take time to spin some of those records from back in the days like Samy Deluxe. 

Another highlight is „Schuld“, before they finish with ASD’s „Sneak Preview“. After this banger there is no coming back. With almost thirty years in the Rap game, Afrob still delivers the lines, and Ferris MC gets the party going.
