There are those bands with this high nostalgic value. Those bands, where you know the songs because they were heard that often. Shortly after Garbage, Mind Over Matter are the ones to bring the next of this kind to the Arena Open Air area, documented in the just released books „Die Arena“ and „Wien du tote Stadt“. 

The support band Hollerado reunited after years of silence. Like the main act, they emerged from Canada, and their Indie Rock provides the rhythms to warm up the dancing feet in the perfect open air weather. So the people keep pouring in, as the show had been sold out within minutes. 

Therefor, many try to get tickets online or holding signs, but it seems almost impossible. Only few will be lucky enough to enter, while others will still listen from outside. The reason is Billy Talent from Mississauga, Ontario. Twenty years ago, they were a small name on the Nova Rock 2006 billing, playing in the afternoon. 

So just like Volbeat, Airbourne or Black Stone Cherry. But their 2006 album „Billy Talent II“ skyrocket them, catapulting them to today’s status. That is why on this tour, they even play the record as a full, beginning with the hits „Devil in a Midnight Mass“ and the breakthrough single „Red Flag“. 

The music video of running kids back then brought up images of others like „Duality“, „Soul Disintegration“, „Remedy“ or „Where Is The Love“. Anyway there are many more bangers like „Fallen Leaves“ or „Surrender“. And Billy Talent don’t draw the line after the album. 

From „Rusted From the Rain“ to „Devil on My Shoulder“, the voice and energy pierce through one’s 00s heart and soul. Plus they even announce a new album – what hopefully would mean they return for those who couldn’t make it. And the final is „Try Honesty“ from the debut, reminding of singing it with acoustic guitar in the bedroom.
