No year without Bierwoche. Or at least one visit within these seven days of beer- and music culture at Arena Beisl. The fantastic poster and flyer design by Bernie Luther is again available as shirts. The stage has moved from the side of the big stage and FOH to the office building and now back to the side of the FOH. 

Tonight’s Punkrock show starts with Bunt Cunnies. They performed alongside likes of Rebell Bagatell, Iron Snag Joe, Bipolar Penguins, Gusch and Wonk Unit presented by Musicjunky lately. In their songs, they cover topics of fear, monsters, the police, toxic masculinity and drinking, as they are ‚not only a Jazz but a Punk band too‘. They do several casual jokes like this about the right key or the black / colorful / diverse light and feature a „Mad World“ interpretation. 

Of Kings And Villains have been active recently as well. From Ottakringer Bierfest to supporting Dwarves, they grace this evening’s lineup and Das Werk next week. The duo sounds live like a Stadium Rock band like their debut single „Checking Out“ or „Stay“. They are about Blues and a lot of speed, with variable singing. After impressing the audience (one can’t stop to repeat ‚nice!‘), they express their thanks. And later this year, the next single will come out. 

Last band this Bierwoche day is Bonjourtropfen who supported likes of Vulvarine and Glue Crew. They start with an intro, „Du nervst“ and other known songs like „Ich denke oft an Bad Vöslau“, asking if people like summer and prefer Bierwoche over public pool. But they have something very special with them, the record „Stuhlverlust“, that they just released the very day. 

It is actually about excrement in all forms and what comes along with it. After this ‚ballad‘, they add few more classics like „Zechprelln“ while drinking spritzer served by Bunt Cunnies like they did before and others are drawing the proceedings.
