Trinity Of Rock – Alternative Synth and Blues

Churchpenny Allstars, Carpet Island, No Source Found

Rock Night at G5 Wien, Austria 20250301

This Saturday marks the return of two beloved bands, who did not play for quite some time. One is The Soundheads, who celebrate their comeback at Coco, close to Kramladen, where another Gikk takes place. Passing U-Bahn-Star Elisabeth of Even If in the same direction at Westbahnhof, the subway takes us to G5

Formerly known as Local and Operschall, the venue at Spittelau hosts live highlights like Rap am Bogen, 90 or Solar Noir. This time, it is Rock Night, starting with the cool name No Source Found. They literally just started their journey as band this month at The Loft and at replugged together with The Generation. Especially the first two songs are big Alternative Rock like Splush. Not all have a title already, and as encore, they repeat „Trainwreck“, displaying ones more their powerful instrumental work and structure.

Also Carpet Island will repeat „Identity“ for their encore. But before, they deliver a fine set of Synth Pop with Prog Rock guitar. Those solos are a highlight and the enthusiastic interaction with their fans. Unfortunately they have to face a technical problem, still their show feels completed with covers of „Blinding Lights“ and „Wonderful Life“.

Number three of tonight’s trinity is Churchpenny Allstars. Since their concert at Seeböckgasse, drummer Elias went to Madeira and returned for this evening, as they tell during the opener „Little Sparrow“ from „Gorilla Lumberjack“. Every song is a hit, including „Johanna“ from „Pigeon Paradise“, „Rip out My Heart“ from „Hit Machine“ as well as „Boogeyman“ singing in the guitar and „Summon My Bones“.

Make My Money“ comes close to the end, and as final encore, a fan demands „Unterwaterman“ as fantastic closer of a great Stadium Blues Rock show. And just the day after, the next Puls4 TV program is filmed at G5 produced by Sandrats, and the calendar lists names like NOA, Candid, Luca Stricagnoli, PompaDur and more for March and the Music Week in August..
