Bright and Uplifiting Indie Hooks

„Unfulfilled Desires“ Debut Album Release Show, Aera Wien, Austria 20240112
While the physics department of the TU Wien celebrates its Metalfest with Ewig Frost amongst others, a release show is held at Aera. The tables in the café upstairs are well booked as usual and at the concert room downstairs everything is well prepared.
‚The Indie underground is his base and the Alternative Pop song his format‘, the event description characterizes Ro Bergman. Usually he plays with a full band, but tonight, he performs solo and acoustic. He wins the audience quickly with his likeable and funny announcements between the songs. Starting with „All We Are“, „Entertain Us“ follows, which takes up the lyrics of Nirvana and was released on his latest record „EP III“ alongside „Future“, „Wire“ and „Believer“.
This EP, he auctions off on vinyl for thirty euro during his eight songs set. Then Greyshadow and his four-piece band around him are obviously happy to finally present the debut album „Unfulfilled Desires“ live. After shows at e.g. Chelsea, the Aera seems just right for this purpose. Starting with the danceable „Sweet Promises“, they promise some classics too.
Before „Is There Anyone Here?“, singer Gregor Wessely tells about feeling like an outsider and how he found out, that it is okay to sit at home and make music, instead of going out. The title „Liverpool“ apparently comes from the city that is home of The Beatles and the famous soccer club.
Two promised classics are „The Weight“ and „Fast“. The great hooks work live like the ones of Oasis, Smashing Pumpkins or The Boys You Know. The crowded Aera makes the release show a very successful one. And the agenda continues with regularly events like PowerPoint karaoke and Poetry Slams or Lou’s Blues Whiskey Beat and Vertilizar plus Vandans.
