Ivery is back! Releasing Bird On The Wire (February 23rd, 2026), a teaser song that sheds light on what is going to be her debut album (To be released on May 22nd, 2026. Do not miss the Album release show at Club Lucia).
From the first listen, I found myself tripping on the vibe of the song.
Background voices that were pumped up with the reverberating drums of Michi Schatzmann, and the reinforcement of the mantra “On the wire“, stating the physical and mental state we are all in.
Bird On The Wire is a song that evokes a transcendental journey. The same journey that unveils a harsh truth, shaking the senses. A familiar imbalance we are all swinging in and out of.
“Balance is broken, but I make it a pose” opens the song lyrics as a reflection on the times of a collapsing system, with a pinch of hope to remain confidently composed in front of the shaky thread we are all standing on.
Psychotic on mercury’s fumes, we end up growing wings only to be standing on the wire.
We are overloaded with emotions and inner noise. Expectant, observant, balancing out our own fears and insecurities. Standing on the verge of insanity and complete calmness.
Personally, I cannot wait for the full release. And I can speak on behalf of the State of Guitars team, we cannot be more excited about the incoming album. This first single, Bird On The Wire, marks a solid statement and, contrary to the lyrics, a very steady ground for what is the Ivery sound.
