After the Desertfest NY, the next Stoner event is just ahead. Even though the posters at the Arena promote another sweet concert, as Implore and Verrat play at Venster99 this Thursday night.

But back at the office, the sounds of Wo Fat and and Weedian’s „Trip to Greece“ are the preparation for the action at the big hall. Arriving at the venue, Nazareth and Swans are the welcoming soundtrack. Then, the support comes from Bergen, home of the Bömbers and Gaahls Wyrd. Slomosa act out nice guitar licks and a high dynamic range. Apart from their debut record, the song „Cabin Fever“ is a real highlight. As Nick Oliveri is watching closely in the audience, they tell that they are „Nick’s favourite band from Norway“ and how grateful they are for the great light.

Not in New York but in London and Berlin, Stöner are guests at the DF alongside likes of Truckfighters and The Obsessed. And with Mondo Generator, Nick will join the Heavy Psych Sounds Fest in Salzburg. This evening, The Warriors introduce the three-piece featuring Brant Bjork and Ryan Gut on stage like Tha Eastsidaz. Next to songs from their two albums „Stoners Rule“ and „totally…“, they present the new „No Brainer“, some Kyuss material and Motörheads „R.A.M.O.N.E.S.“. Funnily, their bassist is in the audience as well, as MFATGG rehearsed at the location for the Punk in Drublic with Pennywise. 

With this fabulous bands, the Desert wind has found its way to Vienna, with some Jimi Hendrix vibes and moshing, before Brant lets his feedback fade out at the end. And at the Arena, so many more highlights are scheduled, like both sold out Meshuggah and Fire From The Gods with Ingested, and Ufomammut and Oranssi Pazuzu the following week.
