After Indie and Pop music on Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday is awaiting with a fabulous package of three bands at Viper Room. All of them can be count as some kind of Progressive Rock and Metal. Yet each interprets the style in its very own way. 

So as sounds from The Doors and Steppenwolf float the room, Scitura start with their very technical and jazzy instrumental set. It is the project of drummer Robin Weber, who gathered members of bands like Their Dogs Were Astronauts to get his songs like „Clairvoyance“ on stage. 

One guitarist jumped in and did a great job learning the material on short notice, reminding of Henrik Huber. Plus the saxophone comes on top like in Spidergawd, and in this very night is the release of „Atlas“. Enjoying this fun set, the Progressive Metal is about to go on with Full Of Thoughts. 

They have a new band line-up presenting songs like „No More“ from the EP „Reset“. Singer Rick Walter tells that „Rising“ was written back in school about eleven years ago. Since the songwriting evolves, the lyrics are still relevant today. And despite technical issues, they get to a point of musical escalation, before the final act The Great Gray Funk. 

Like Year Of The Goat, they mark the Dark Rock highlight of this month. Places like replugged, F23, Coco, Aera, Pankahyttn, Music-House or Kapu are their home with bands like Cadû, Triptonus, Ultima Radio, Junipa Gold or Liberation Orchestra. Organic, disharmonic and powerful, they convince again with songs from their debut (StoneFree Records), but they are also working on their second album. 

The instruments with the voice hovering above catch each dark heart. And as the guitar gently swings, the fantastic set just feels too short. But their next show is already close, on 24th January 2026 at Kramladen together with Modula Nation and Green Coloured Sun.
