Gürtel concert number three this week: Six years ago, Sunny, Splank and Zaza started the podcast Wenn nicht mit Rap after a line by Haftbefehl. With their work, they contribute to the flourishing Hip Hop scene of Austria like Rap am Bogen, the United Battle Culture, 50 Years Of Hip Hop, Rhymetime, The Message Magazine, Duzz Down San, Honigdachs or Deine Mutter Studio. 

In their podcast supported by Grieskirchner and Marie, for example they talk with acts like Alligatorman and MDK about their album „Milieu“. To celebrate their anniversary, they put together an incredible lineup at B72, presented on a poster by Renaldo Rohrmoser, and presale tickets were available at their Dann mit Kultur shop.  

Part I

First, Pezo Fox and D.B.H play some tunes, until the live action starts, hosted by Ana Ryue. Already the first act Moonvers convinces with strong lyrics and voice in songs like „Odysseus“. But there are more microphones for Schema B from Graz. They enter with a massive energy, literally dropping bombs on stage. 

With Roko von der Tanke and O.T, a whole parade of guests starts including Onkel Ossi, Kafa Cash, Big F and O.G Sufi Abira. Fourth performance comes from Sovie, who switched from English to German. She was bit surprised when she was invited because she plays Slay Pop, adding some variety with „Wenn du gehst“, „Fangen“ and her ‚female version of Bonez MC’s „Ohne mein Team“‘. 

Part II

Those two sets, Dyin Ernst was on the decks already, who then plays his own part for the next twenty minutes. In the half time, the timetable is already late, as Nef-U and Reflex present their EP „Auf steinigem Weg“. The record is released the very day and features „Du bist schön“, that is about not letting anyone tell you otherwise. 

With Pirmin, another parade of guests supports his beat set, as his album „Sinister“ will arrive in march. Kalp-one, Mo Cess, Fellowsoph and Nsheem rap over the powerfull beats and ‚fuck the FPÖ‘. Al Pone has his debut „Benjamin“ coming in February and jumps with songs like „Schutt und Asche“, „Jebiga“ and „Diese gut“ with ‚everyone, no matter if Jugo or Schwabo‘. 

Then the organizers of WNMR collect their well-deserved applause and explain, that they asked more women to perform but were turned down. The final two live acts then are SLAV and Monobrother, before the party goes on with Nika & Linda and Kapazunda. The extremely welcoming atomsphere and the outstanding line-up make this show the perferct sixth anniversary.
