Three To Move and Get Moved
Roman James, Now., Ivery
Freiraum St. Pölten, Austria 20261002
Where Metalfans banged their heads the (Metal-)weekend before to bands like Beyond This Rift or Grimming, the stage opens up for finest Alternative Pop and Rock with a lot of Groove and Funk: Three acts share their music this Friday evening at Freiraum Sankt Pölten.
Just the day before, Ivery played at the Waves Festival in beloved Kramladen. With Vanessa Weber (Nordlicht), Johannes Schweiger (Rian, Ness), Thorsten Kaiser (Schiefer, brazey) and Michael Schatzmann (both Ankathie Koi, Fainschmitz) on her side, she greatly combines loud and quiet moments, opening with the fantastic earworm „Bird On The Wire“.
Ivery uses all the space on stage to dance, and the audience goes ‚wow!‘, as she performs her fm4 hitsingle „Hearts Of Steel“, „Driftin’“ and reads out a text about her debut album. With „Believer“ (2022) and „Beast of Burden“, she steps away from the microphone, and everyone listens carefully until her last note. Her next stops will be at STWST and Kramladen again.
The following Now. shared the stage with Ivery before at ((szene)). The trio from Tonherd (Studio & Label) tonight appears as quartet with Johnny Falter (Greyshadow, TINA) on second guitar. They enter to the „Circle Of Life“ to present their new album „A Little Love“.
„Who I Am“ features Ivery once again, and the album title track, they had a vision to be played on radio – and it actually worked. Singing activates both halves of the brain as they tell, and for „Life Ain’t Heaven“, they go a cappella as likes of Árstíðir. Just like before, the crowd listens closely, and their release tour is just about to kick off.
The final local hero Roman James might be known from Flieda. With his own project, he combines softer tunes and very danceable ones like „Colorfading“ and „Can I Call You Home?“. He happily presents new material as well, and tells how he is influenced by the 80s.
This great fun performance got captured in pictures by Klaus Klemens Engelmayer, and Roman James will be up next at mdw. Meanwhile, Wild Evel, Metal Obscurum with likes of Streambleed, Kreiml, Metal Awakening including The Devastation and more will enjoy the great sound at Freiraum St. Pölten.
