The Sound of Ruhmer – The Only Concert in Vienna of 2024, Kramladen Wien, Austria 20240904

Shorty after the Gürtel Nightwalk and right before the Waves Vienna, the Gürtel calls for another happening. So while Birdstone (who head to Rockhouse after) and Liquid Earth (who play PRST soon) rock the rhiz, Kramladen hosts the only concert in Vienna in this year of the city’s 70s Indie Funk Rock hero. 

As support, Pande does a solo show on guitar and with backing tracks. His songs have a cool Alternative Pop Punk vibe like Weezer, Ryder The Eagle, or Fabian Squinobal. Several people from the audience already know the words from „Paper Straws“, „Someone Stronger“ or „Happier“ from his album „Speedrunning“. And very soon, he do his next show with Bernhard Eder at Rote Bar / Volkstheater. 

Since the release of „Cherryland“ one year ago, Ruhmer was busy working with acts like Pressyes, Hearts Hearts, Lausch or Rahel. Now he takes this evening to present his new EP „Goodnews“ consisting of four songs and a Incubus-like acoustic version. At the merchandise table, he got awesome cartoon-style shirts with him, and everyone gets a fortune cookie. 

The only ‚old‘ band-member is Daniel Zoglauer on bass, but (almost) all of them are here to see the current Ruhmer line-up live. And they take off with „TL409“ for a high flying concert. On this plane ride, you get a „Newsflash“ and „Sticky Little Lies“ but also „B&W“ and „Loving A Machine“. 

To top it off, the last third of the mighty fine set includes „Into The Wild“, „Home“ and the very first song „Kill Me Now“ amongst other classics. Ruhmer shows are always spiced with one lovely moving song after another, relaxed dancing and a lot of smiling faces. His next one he will perform at Hugo Pansen Feldkirch together with Ivery.
