Gloomy Vision Good Feeling Club Show
Tramhaus, Glut
The First Exit Release Tour presented by Generation Noir, dq agency & LÆSSIG booking, Kramladen Wien, Austria 20250218
February basically is not high season for concerts already, but this week opens up opportunities. From Alphaville, Girlschool and The Dire Straits Experience to The Spauldings, Nowitschok-5 and 90. On Tuesday already, Mobb Deep return, Lion’s Law hit in and at Generation Noir welcomes two bands at Kramladen, from where the ORF recently reported.
After watching „Control“, Anton Corbijn’s portrait of Joy Division, some Post Punk just feels right, to relive the music of the time. Like „Mind Your Own Business“ by Delta 5, that comes from the speakers before Glut begin. „I make the rules“, they set it clear directly.
Moving and with strong vocals, they make the whole audience squat down with „Screech“. For „Hexen“, they switch to German, singing from the perspective of a witch who will be burned. So a pretty gloomy touch creeps into their Psych Grunge, that is based on sophisticated song structures.
At the merchandise table, they present DIY clothes and a live CD. On the opposite site of the entrance to the concert room, Tramhaus show theirs including a screenprint of „The First Exit Release Tour“ poster by falkschwalbe. They set out from Rotterdam, home of Hardcore as well as bands like Dool.
They introduce themselves quickly and start right away. The energy is right there, exploding again and again with the music. Those eruptions sometimes get closer to Post Hardcore of False King and Lizar, while the hip swing is reminiscent of Iggy Pop.
As it is sold out, they assert that they did not expect so many guests, after they played in front of around 50 at postgarage Graz. And they stand up for women and queer people and that they don’t have to be afraid.
Therefore the evening just feels right. Plus a black and white print announces the next Generation Noir show on Saturday with Negative Gears, and more are about to happen with names like Horror Vacui, SDH, PG.99, Spectral Wound and others..
