Promise fulfilled and made for the big stage
Ultima Radio, Animal Machine, WarHoles
Kramladen Wien, Austria 20250109
After the AIMD show on Tuesday at rhiz, it is the second Gürtel concert this week. At Kramladen, a place to feel at home, three heavy rocking bands embark to make this Thursday night a highlight.
been Orelian of the WarHoles enters the stage with a glass of wine. A beat, a guitar and the dancing singer, that is the Garage Blues Rock recipe. No wonder they have been compared to The Cramps and Stooges before. Coming to „Sex Surpreme“, they dedicate the song to the countries which are ‚afraid of their own sex‘. And with the crowded room, the celebrate more hits like „Master and Margarita“ or „Kafka = Pop“.
Animal Machine have shared the stage with likes of High Transition or K.I.L.L. The Band before and feature Maria Magdalena who played e.g. with Ivery on bass. They turn the signs on Stoner and hit the groove pedal with several voices, going from Rage Against The Machine riffs to more quiet parts. As there is ‚alarm for the republic‘, they ask who was at the Ballhausplatz demonstrating.
Hypnotic and breaking listening habits, the evening continues with Psychedelic Progressive Alternative Stoner from Ultima Radio. Since their gig with Intra, they collaborated with Cadû and found a new singer with Daniel Dorninger of Witchrider. The fantastic energetic Rock, the „Basement Session EP“ promises, they realise live. Own light columns support the experience of new songs like „Good For Nothing“ or classics like „Sheela“.
Even though this small and intimate concerts are preferable, Ultima Radio definitely would be great to see on a big stage. Next on their schedule are shows at Rockhouse and rhiz with Lilac Vegetal, while Kramladen continues with likes of Solar Noir, Gnagg & Gnia presented by Tape Capitol Music, The Morphine Pilgrims and Blechsalat.
