Neps, Lion Season

„Common Live“ Album Release Concert, Chelsea Wien, Austria 20241030

For the best Metal in town, go to Escape or Viper Room. For the best Punk to Pankahyttn, EKH, Venster99 or Arena. And for the best Indie, the chance is high that you will find it at the Gürtel at B72, Coco, rhiz, Loop or Café Carina. This Wednesday, Fiesta Forever rocks at Kramladen, while at Chelsea, Feber Wolle presents a mighty fine debut album release.

Stepping to the concert room, it is fascinating, how mad someone can be controlling the tickets and guest list every single time. But inside, pure musical joy is awaiting, beginning with the great Lion Season (Tape Capitol Music). With two singers, they combine Foo Fighters and The Strokes guitar rhythms with The Cure harmonies. Everything is on point, and at the end they dedicate one song to a friend names Lena.

Before the actual celebration starts, some Linkin Park songs keep up the mood in front of the stage. But Neps would heat it up anyway within seconds. In the left corner, they placed some old TVs with visuals by Paola Rodriguez. Their fans know the lyrics of their debut „Common Life“ and happily sing with them. Like the the several guests, they welcome on stage.

One of them is Ivery, who recently played at Rathausplatz or Kulturcafé Max and soon will return to Kramladen. She collaborated with TELLL and Christoph Aigelsreiter, and with Neps, she performs the outstanding „Kicking Habits“, opening up a mosh pit. „Lessons For Your Life“ follow and more like the ‚leftover song‘ „Sucks“. At the end, they have a long list to say thank you including likes of Jo Stöckholzer for producing.

With over one hundred tickets sold before and so many happy faces dancing to great Power Pop Indie Punk Grunge, the „Common Life“ release show of Neps is a full success. Outside, the evening continues with conversations about Space Rock like Seven That Spells, Loop and Thee Hypnotics. And the program of Chelsea continues with Novi Sad, Onk Lou, Siamese Elephants, Old Mrs. Bates, The Muddy Moon and more.
