Yet another time, the SIMMCity awaits this month with an extraordinary line-up after Accept and Phil Campbell ATBS. After the Heavy Metal party, more melancholic notes and screams will enchant the listeners, brought to you by TON Music Productions. 

Doodseskader (not to confuse with Doodswens) have to overcome technical problems first, but then deliver an incredibly intense show like Tim De Gieter’s other band Amenra. On the screen, the words of depression with little light can be read, making think of King 810 or Coma. The duo let the neck muscles work with their set like at AB and songs like „People Have Poisoned My Mind To A Point Where I Can No Longer Function“. 

Meanwhile most guests have arrived, ready for Svalbard from Bristol, who played the city at Dreiraum or with Cult of Luna and Russian Circles before. Their show with two screaming voices as well works on the bigger stage too. They include several songs from their latest full-length „The Weight of the Mask“ like „To Wilt Beneath The Weight“, with the cover of it as huge backdrop. 

Funny story happened in their homecountry, when a group travelled to Birmingham to see soul singer Celeste but turned up to the French Post Hardcore formation. Now from their origin France, Alcest are the headliners bringing the Post (Black) Metal and Shoegaze. 

Weedian’s guide positions them next to likes of Agalloch, Neurosis, Sólstafir or Deafheaven. Tonight, they present their new album „Les Chants de l’aurore“ next to other fantastic tunes like „Autre temps“. The moon in the back is changing color, accompanied by to birds on both sides and tufts of grass. 

For this immaculate performance, Alcest receive thunderous applause. And to remember, photographers fraufrostwind, Krawall & Stille and Caroline Traitler documented the evening in pictures.
