The beauty of the future lies in the fog

Kultursommer Wien at Stadtpark Atzgersdorf, Austria 20250801
With the Donauinselfest and the Popfest, the city of Vienna provides several options for free culture. Another one is the Kultursommer, with stages all across the city like at Reithofferpark where e.g. DuoLia. played or Nordwestbahnhof, where at the very same time Paul Plut brings the evening atmosphere.
Down south west, in the 23rd district Liesing, the Stadtpark Atzgersdorf is situated. So there, the weekend starts with a concert by Teleport Collective. The three-piece consists of Aaron Maria Steiner (Clap Clapinger, pauT, Caravan Of Luv, Offbeat Mafia), Joachim Michael Huber (BassMastaPhunk) and Michael Naphegyi (Tape Moon, Rosi Spezial, Mira Lu Kovacs).
They started out as Killah Tofu and the debut featuring „Brists“. This contemporary experimental Electro Jazz brought them to Zwe, Chelsea, RKH and Porgy & Bess. Album number two was mixed by Michael Schatzmann (AF90, Ankathie Koi, Ivery), and today, they present their number three „A Monolith’s Dream“, available on double LP vinyl.
It is a ‚post human fantasy‘, a world in the fog, that could be cold or hot, but with a positive future. As it is raining, the audience sits under trees and umbrellas, but can bob along with the foot to the „Skeleton Dance“. So Teleport Collective looks back on over ten years of existence, of chilled and elated rhythms and „Constant Buzz“.
The music, that is usually played in smaller and dark basements fits the open air area in slight rain perfectly as well, like the Hi-Hat solo and the sudden breaks. And in autumn, the moody trio will return to the subway arch of rhiz for their concert series ‚Cosmic Tuesday‘. Meanwhile the sun comes out and accompanies the show of Petra Alexandra, starting with „Tanze Samba“..
