Meet The Makers – Arts & Crafts im Siebensternviertel presented by im7ten, Flaniermarkt Neubaugasse, Kultur Neubau Wien, Austria 20251115

Saturday afternoon, the Christmas market at Rathausplatz including the Herzerlbaum just opened. At the same time, ‚die Macher*innen aus dem 7. Bezirk‘ organise the ‚Meet The Makers – Arts & Crafts‘. Just north of Mariahilfer Straße, the shops of Kirchengasse, Lindengasse, Siebensterngasse and -platz invite to explore their craft.

The quarter attracts the visitors with workshops, mini-exhibitions and live music like from Thaddäus Huber or multi-instrumentalist Timay. Lately, he played bass in the live band of Yunger, collaborated with Patch & Pavement, or at Rudolfstanz with his handpan. Like today, starting his first set at Soova

The second one at ulliKo unfortunately gets cancelled due to the noise of a construction site. Still the store has visitors, who let themselves draw by windowartist Gabriela of Gadeko Studio. Slot number three is at the center, the Siebensternplatz. Close to Café 7*Stern, Coffee Junkie, Nil, Voodoo and others, it offers the possibility to make an Advent wreath today.

Experienced from U-Bahn-Stars and the Busker Tour, Timay presents several songs in about half an hour from his CDs, again with the fill-ins from „Harry Potter“ by John Williams and „Pirates of the Carribean“. Between the songs, he offers his free stickers, and not only the kids but also adults show interest and stop in front of the pavilion.

So after the set, he takes some time, to let the audience get to know his instrument. Especially one young boy, who is currently learning the drums, proves talent, making the handpan swing. Then Timay packs his shakers, microphones and ‚working tool‘ in short time, to change with MTF Jazz at Geschirr Niessner.

Meanwhile the MTM-Walk with Nunu Kaller starts and the next Flaniermarkt is planned in May. And for more music this Saturday evening, Conny Ochs plays at Rave Up Records, a live band at The Long Hall and Jamiroquai at Stadthalle..
