Spirit Of Rock’n’Roll Distilled
The Vintage Cinema Club, Roses and Tulips, Marbelite
G5 Indie Night at G5 Live Music Bar, Austria 20260716
In the triangle of the bars Unders and Battle Axe and the party venues das Werk, Grelle Forelle and Wiener Würstelstand, the G5 is situated right next the station Spittelau. Organizers like Rap am Bogen and acts like Bioglycerin, 90, Solar Noir and others frequent the live music club, and so do three bands to celebrate the G5 Indie Night.
Marbelite entered the stage at replugged or Gürtel Nightwalk before. With acoustic guitar and several voices, they present songs from „Chain Bridge Alley“ as well as new ones, as they are working on an album. With „It’s Called: Freefall“, they implement a cover and tell, how often people misspell their name: with ‚v‘, endling with ‚light‘, and every possible combination.
While Marbelite will appear at Mikadu Festival, for Roses and Tulips it will be Beserlpark. Around twenty years old, their commitment is to strong Crossover Psychedelic Rock, even though they tell that they present ‚45 minutes of popular music‘. Coming to the encore „Daisy, Daisy“ with Beatles-vibes, it gets true, after they thank ‚every listener outside and sitting‘ (inside, as temperatures keep going up).
The Vintage Cinema Club, who set out live in 2014, started the year sharing the stage with The Hidden Cameras at Rockhouse and celebrating the ‚Gezeitenwechsel‘ at Corner Salzburg. Since two years, Sarah plays the keys and sings, replacing Steven Bibbs and they brought merchandise with them, including shirts, bags and buttons.
Apart from classics like „Elements of Spirit“, TVCC perform new material like „Next To The Body“. Highlight trilogy is „Transmission“, „The Beat With The Rhythm“ and „Exposé En Permanence“. A strong show of a quintette tied together. And soon, they plan to return to Café Carina.
Where they accompanied e.g. Churchpenny Allstars before, they will team up with Candid again. Meanwhile, the G5 has (Blues) heavyweights in its cards with King Dude or Johnny Indigo.
