Acoustic Project

Quarantäne Konzert #2, Austria 20200412

This easter Saturday already started amazingly with the concert of gab in the afternoon. In the evening, several opportunities are revealed: The Viper Room provides another Pop Punk Rock stream, on FS1 Forever Twenty Something delivers the beats to dance to, and a cover band from western Austria takes your wishes.

In the region, some formations are taking care of your live party sound: uptoseven, For Passion, Soulkiss, Sound In A City, The Starbirds and Mir Drei (ex-Beast Of Prey). The Acoustic Project of the two brothers David and Patrick (Karaokesuperstar, Unfamous, Cold Coffee) established itself as a guarantor for good vibes and modern song collection. And they are constantly adding new ones, as they are requested.

At the beginning of the four hours set, they go for the classics from Simon & Garfunkel, Green Day (“There is no AP without Green Day”), Tom Petty and Johnny Cash. Using the kazoo, they tell Patrick could do some YouTube tutorial on how to play and they advertise the local instrument store Musik Paul. Their setlist they tell you can find on their website and they raffle a shirt.

Depending on the song they vary who is singing. For example AnnenMayKantereit Patrick is on vocals, while Tenacious D David performs alone. He has a good falsetto as well, and other songs they sing in two voices. Music wishes they take from their family amongst others, so they play Mumford & Sons for their sister and George Ezra for their father.

From all those radio hits they also made a 90s medley including likes of Lou Bega, Eiffel 65 and Britney Spears. For the Backstreet Boys you need a straw microphone they joke and meanwhile they drink the Frastanzer Bock. The K-Shake classic “Angels” they end with “Hey Jude”, and the final songs of this entertaining Saturday night include Blink-182 and Bon Jovi.
