In 2019, Arcadia Live opened the area of METAStadt for open air concerts for the very first time. Five years later, it is a known summery institution featuring famous names. This season, big dreams are possible with relaxing yet captivating sounds like from Khruangbin. And this week begins with another (Electronic) spherical journey. 

For tonight’s local support, the gig means the comeback after three years: Leyya consisting of Sophie Lindinger and Marco Kleebauer been there e.g. at Red Bull Music Festival. With Nastasja Ronck (My Ugly Clementine), they perform as trio, starting strong with the new „Pumped Up High“. 

This September, they will present their new album at WUK. But they also like to look back on their early work ten years ago and hits like „Superego“. As second act, DJ and producer Berlioz is up with an ensemble of live musicians. Smooth Jazz House tracks like „Wash My Sins Away“ and „NYC in 1940“ keep the chilled mood going. 

Behind the carpet, a rectangular box is unveiled after. Air created the iconic melody of „Alpha Beta Gaga“. Now they make their second visit in town with their debut „Moon Safari“ from the 90s, when others like The Crystal Method or Overseer started out as well. 

Already „La femme d’argent“ is iconic too, like „Sexy Boy“, that appeared in „10 Things I Hate About You“. The monkey of the cover is projected to the back like flying stars, fire and strings later on. So the box shows a lot of (3D) effect, as the drums, synthies and guitar sound go forward with claves. 

After the album part, they attach a best-of, climaxing in „Electronic Performers“ with Progressive vibes like King Crimson. And also the METAStadt Open Airs go into their finals the next days with Paul Kalkbrenner, Patti Smith and Korn.
