Full Rock Live Stream “Shame Shame” Single Release Show presented by Coors Light and NoCap Shows, Roxy Hollywood, CA 20201114
Times are a-changing again, and streams from DJ Eraserhead or Forever Twenty Something on FS1 are a great activity for the weekend. And at 2 pm CET, a band that has rocked the Zenith Munich with their “In Your Honor” and “Echoes” tours and Festivals like the Southside and Sziget, celebrates their late-breaking single and 25th anniversary.
Right next to the Rainbow, the Roxy is located in Hollywood. And it is the venue to host the Foo Fighters for their full-on Rock show. Earlier this year, they played the Troubadour like the Rocketman and guitarist Chris Shiflett performed online on Facebook. Their charismatic frontman Dave Grohl has been active for likes of Them Crooked Vultures, QOTSA, Juliette and the Licks and Tenacious D and movies like Lemmy, Back and Forth, Sound City and Sonic Highways. With the Foos, he will release the 10th album in February.
For the show, the group built a setlist including tracks from all their albums except Sonic Highways. Highlights are the new “Shame Shame”, the early “This Is A Call” and “Best Of You”. Dave tells, that every time you hear something you don’t know it is part of the upcoming record. So fans guess the snippets are “Making A Fire”, “Holding Poison” and “No Son Of Mine”, which will be out on “Medicine At Midnight”.
Especially for the new ones, a choir of four, including Dave’s daughter Violet, joins the six-piece band. Between the songs, he likes to talk to his online audience and the crew, recounting that Pat Smear’s band the Germs was cut from the movie “Up In Smoke” and joking about “Foo Fighters masks are on sale right now”.
Now for a fan the band could have gone on playing forever, but this online appearance especially makes looking forward for the new album, as the first single already stays in your ears after hours (and the posters in your inner eyes).
