Standing in the Crowd (Music Video 2024)

Holidays have arrived and a ton of new music by likes of Deep Purple, Limp Bizkit, Visions Of Atlantis, Discorrected and more. From Buchs in Switzerland, right next to the border to Liechtenstein, comes some riff-based Rock’n’Roll, probably named after the legendary Western video game Red Dead Redemption.
Red Tape Redemption seem to like playing on words. With their EP „Ollie Osbourne“ reminding of Ozzy Osbourne and with a cover art by David Gabathuler and supported by Südkultur, they released „Standing In The Crowd“ and now they present the music video for it. Consisting of live footage and backstage material, the country holds many famous events like the OpenAir St.Gallen, Rock The Frog or closer Quellrock and Open Hair Metal Festival to shoot.
Sophie Ryhner and Jonny Giger (like H.R. Giger) captured the action at the final Ciao Fritz Party at Chez Fritz. The band counts in and hits it with a strong Southern Rock lick like Black Stone Cherry, some Truckfighters-Fuzz and fine rhythm. Other Blues inspired artists send their regards like Wolfmother, Slash and QOTSA. The pace levels up in the chorus like Two-By-Four and solo moments are not missing either.
The drive towards the end adds a little Probot flavor. In the video, the crowd it is all about is moving. Hold mainly in black and white, some colored and picture-in-picture effects similar to Juleah mix it up a bit, while the focus lies on the singer and guitarist.
Older and close Riff-Rock and loud guitar maniacs like Fastlife Race, Sektor7, I.O.N.U. and Guadalajara have recently reunited and a young generation with likes of Red Sun Atacama or Glazed Curtains is growing too. And Red Tape Redemption are standing in line with them and with their crowd.
