Tito & Tarantula, Cadû

Br¡ncamos! Tour 2025 at ((szene)) Wien, Austria 20250405

31 years after Kurt Cobain died and the live tribute is repeated, another legend returns to ((szene)) as part of their Br¡ncamos! Tour. Santana’sSmooth“ and Stevie Wonder’sSuperstition“ make some of the visitors put on their dancing shoes already, as many of them already show up for the support.

It is none other than local Psychedelic Prog flagship Cadû. Lately, they celebrated their Psychotic Parade for the second time, played the support-slot at KV Röda and just the day before at frei:raum. They hit in with a clap of thunder and „Hyenas“ from their debut

Yet their focus is on the second album with „Lucid Dreaming“, the ‚sex one‘ to moan with, „DNA“ and the title track. Between their usual strong and energetic performance, they explain that they are ‚Cadü‘ but actually Cadû (pronounced ‚tschaduu‘, also not Kadu) and thank their label StoneFree

Listening to their music, you can find Tito & Tarantula in it, if you want. So after Pulp’sCommon People“, the band of six enters the stage with various instruments and skulls. Early highlights are „Jupiter“, „When You Cry“ and „Clumsy Beautiful World“.

Tito Larriva tells stories and jokes like that „Pistolero“ was renamed to „Desperado“ after the daughter of the producer said it sounds like ‚Piss‘. Then when Robert Rodriguez asked him to play the cab driver of Johnny Depp and he arrived on location, Robert told him, that he shot the scenes with Johnny already three weeks ago on greenscreen. So they did not meet, but he designed his guitar.

New songs include „X the Soul“ and „99 Point 9“ (‚It’s called 99 Luftballons‘) followed by ‚Kleine Schlampe‘. For the most famous „After Dark“ from „From Dusk Till Dawn“, Tito invites fans up on stage, before they finish with „Angry Cockroaches“, „Anarchy in the U.K.“ and „Strange Face“.

If you have not seen those two bands, you don’t know what you are missing: a true live highlight. And at ((szene)), Cult Of Fire, Vienna Core Fest, Croword, Black Inhale, Into The Dark, Titan Killer, Ugly Kid Joe, Headbangers United, Nazareth and more continue the concert year..
