Where Did Our Punk Rock Days Go (Music Video 2025)
Yunger
Folk Pop Rock Singer-Songwriter
February 14th, Valentine’s Day. Or more important release day. With „Good Day Bad Day“, the EP led by the videos „Keep On Walking“, „Watcha Gonna Do“, „Flying High“ and „Don’t Le Me Go“, a tour was roaming places like the Old Town Record Store, Ranch zum Unterm Riadbom, Music-House or Tschocherl again.
These kind of journeys, now documented on „Stadttheater Live“ as well, might leave their marks on Yunger’s upcoming full-length „A Traveller’s Story“. Herald of this next chapter is the single „Where Did Our Punk Rock Days Go“. On the picture by Berni Ullrich, the wanderer sits right under the roof in what could be a shelter on the road. Little light reaches his face, illuminating the flying dust.
The song title talks from the heart of a thirty-something. Memories of certain incidents play in front of the inner eye. Feelings, that some bands are Here For A Reason. Because no-one wants to miss the Punkrock times, even more, hopefully they will never stop.
Yunger poured this wish into another Folk hymn with very clear lyrics. And it takes advantage of his skills, the fantastic fingerpicking and his voice range. Christoph Gallaun of gab&gal and Juleah set down behind the drum kit, that drives the rhythm while the climax and solo, and Tomas Karasek (Gargle & Expel Studio) was responsible for mastering.
Finally Alvin Ehrnberger (All Faces Down, Notebooks) did a music video, that has the Donaukanal as authentic main location. Between, it shows Yunger packing up and on his bicycle, just like musical colleagues Onk Lou or Magic Delphin like to travel. And as eye candy, 4:3 miniDV archive footage is cut in, the way the Legs No Shoes movie still plays in one’s head.
It’s the music and concerts, that can help keep the mind young. Yunger created a song for more long nights like Die Toten Hosen, until the music fades like Simon and Garfunkel.
