Watch Me (Single 2024)

DuoLia.

Indie Folk

Watch Me“ – the title catches immediately like „Watch This“ by Slash featuring Dave Grohl and Duff McKagan. And it is an equally strong song. Even though a different genre, it transports the feeling of authentic courage and growing beyond yourself, reaching for the sky like on the cover art by Sarah Jackel

As release-day for their new single, DuoLia. chose solstice on 21st June like Coldplay, VSDG & Da Kessl and Lightts for their video of „Falling“. Lately, they played at Blue Bird Festival and Akustik Loft like Ivery or Greyshadow, and the song comes right on time before Sound@V. They have been nominated in the category ‚Alternative/Singer-Songwriter‘ and the prize is awarded during poolbar festival at Altes Hallenbad with Fiesta Forever on stage and after-show party with Cousines Like Shit

Julian Berann, who worked with likes of Black Cherry Marble or Pale Male, produced the song and plays drums. The bass by Konstantin Liangos is present supporting the melody. In the video by Sina Lang, we have to leave the house first like in „Gefangen in der Freiheit“ by Kid Pex & Penetrante Sorte, ‚go outside‘ and ‚smell some green grass‘.

Combined with the clip, this line makes smile, as we find ourselves at the Gürtel. ‚I wanna dance like a little child‘, the lyrics continue, reminding of Churchpenny Allstars and in the chorus of FUTURE:ART. With the guitars on Mariahilfer Straße, DuoLia. transmit the energy of their second project HuröLia.

Nice transitions lead to the final violin solo, dancing lightly like Fainschmitz through the night to the fade out. „Watch Me“ grabs attention, not only from Sound@V, but also by GIKK and fm4. As precursor of the debut album, it paves the way like a stream through its valley or green grass through concrete if it has the time.
