When the engineen roars, the power hauls, the tires burn and the wind hits the body, probably there is no comparable feeling. Or maybe? It is about freedom and in this way similar to music: when the strings roar, the amplifiers haul, the drumsticks burn and the bass hits the body, the head can rest, drift away and let the magic happen. 

So the best way to consume the music is loud.. and live. After the self-titled debut and „Kind of Venom“, Sonic Taboo decided to lay down album number three live on tape: „Captured Live! Vol. I“ might mark the start of a series like e.g. „The Satanic Singles“ of Clouds Taste Satanic. 

It consists of six re-imagined tracks and four new ones, opening up the „Haunted Roads“ after a short intro. Sticky like Sludge and with fine yet heavy distortion, the spirits of likes of Liquid Earth or Oddplay are right there. With a smooth and imperceptible transition, Sonic Taboo then take up the pace to the „Valley of Dolls“. 

Two new tunes celebrate the doomy Stoner flavor and structured meditative lines, fading to a bluesy ride any fan would dig in. It feels like the fuel will never stop and there is always a „Full Tank“. Flanked by the other two first-releases „Too Fried To Ride“ and the quiet „Ghost Town“, stand the „Cactus Thorns“ like a warning sign, as Sonic Taboo take no prisoners. 

Going back to the beginning, the album closes with „Planet Terror“ and „Black Chopper“. So Sonic Taboo celebrate their band’s new line-up with melting their forces and roar as one gang down the Heavy Rock highway. Recorded live at Hesher Studios in NYC with no overdubs, „Captured Live! Vol. I“ will be released physically via Interstellar Smoke Records.
