In the week of the partial solar eclipse and Perseids, another star has landed for two exclusive shows in Austria. After the mystic Darksynth Arena Open Air on Tuesday with Carpenter Brut, Arcadia and FM4 present fantastic Indie classics on Saturday. 

Before, Indie Punk support comes from Anda Morts from Linz. They recently toured Germany and festivals like Southside. On radio FM4, they are on heavy rotation like Ivery, Ruhmer or Filiah. So they present their hits like „Bett“, „Wütend“ or „Freitag“. The meadow is already packed, including known faces from the local music scene like Der Nino aus Wien. 

While Anda Morts will have their own Arena Open Air with Salò next year, Oskar Haag surprisingly appears next on stage. Between the two songs, he performs in this short time, he tells the story how the spontaneous gig happened: the night before, he opened at poolbar festival. And after hanging and listening to the Beatles backstage, he got invited to play in Vienna as well. 

‚Pete Doherty’s wish is my command.‘ The last time, the Indie icon visited the city with The Libertines. In proper style with a cap and suspenders, he was on stage already before Anda Morts, to try out the guitar for few notes. Surrounded by his band Babyshambles, they start with the hits „Killamangiro“ and especially the great „Delivery“ from „Shotter’s Nation“ (2007). 

With „Dandy Hooligan“, they even have a new single with them. Pete Doherty explains, that he has never been at Arena before. But the place is unique, and he read the no flags policy – except of LGBTQIA+ ones. Then for those who have never been in England, he likes to tell all about it, with acoustic guitar in „Albion“ from „Down in Albion“ (2005). 

After the final „Fuck Forever“, Babyshambles leave to Vicky Leandros’ „Ich liebe das Leben“. In a world of AI and perfection, the snotty raw live show is just what it takes and cannot be replaced, as Pete Doherty tells in an ORF interview. And while on Sunday, the open air live action would continue with Deftones at METAStadt, the Saturday night goes on with tunes of Mando Diao and Weezer at Arena Beisl.
