Dark Hellish Cold Warmth

Fen, Frostmoon Eclipse

15 Years Of Bleakness European Tour 2022 presented by IFP Bookings & Tour Management, Escape Metalcorner Vienna, Austria 20220323

As the days are finally turning brighter, so is the future for the darker genres of music too. At the Rockhouse, Capital City Agency presents Mars Red Sky from France, while Napalm Events brings Nervosa back to the Viper Room. And after Dead Lord, there is the next highlight at the Escape initialized by Immortal Frost Productions.

The „15 Years Of Bleakness European Tour“ basically featured a package of three acts. Unfortunately, Depressive Black outfit Lichtblick had to cancel right before the gig in Vienna, also for the following ones like at p.m.k. Nevertheless, the two remaining bands are able to continue.

Hailing from La Spezia since 1995, Frostmoon Eclipse demonstrate how infernally cold the red light can be. The deep dark atmosphere of this bloody picture on stage and the screams bursting the basement walls give a wonderful feeling in the Metal club. As one highlight, singer J.J. from Harakiri for the sky and Karg performs „Song To Darkness“ with them. And they obviously know, how to celebrate the end of a set, putting all power into the final again.

For main act Fen, it is their first headlining tour, for which they had to wait way too long. They like to take their audience on a trip through their history, even featuring a completely new song. At the end for the encore, they like to go back to their beginnings and play some of their very first compositions. And as with Frostmoon Eclipse, there is some beauty to find in their darkness as well. Closing the eyes, it feels like travelling to the ‚windswept, desolate landscape‘ in England, the band took their name from.

Haunting evenings like this make great eyes on flyers of more concerts like e.g. Anomalie with Weltenbrandt or the Vienna Metal Meeting with Triptykon, Samael, Necrophobic, Caronte, Prllnkrchn, Lichtblick and more.
