Harakiri For The Sky

Reliving the Trauma – 10 years anniversary show presented by Doomstar Bookings at Theater Akzent Vienna, Austria 20260501

International Worker’s Day 2026. The weather is good. Tape Capitol presents Dirty Sound Magnet at Lucia. And a stone’s throw from Karlsplatz, close to Belvedere, that currently shows paintings by Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller, the Theater Akzent is the location for a very special ten years album anniversary show.

It takes Austria’s most honored Post Black Metal band to gather this crowd of people dressed in black: Harakiri for the sky recently played at a church like Sibiir or Dool, in Salzburg’s Rockhouse and at WUK. With Art of Propaganda (Firtan, Groza and more) at their back, they brought their music from Sinister Feast at MARK to Japan.

Having six records out, they celebrate their famous third one from 2016 this night: “III: Trauma”. As intro, Radiohead’s “Street Spirit (Fade Out)” comes from the speakers, which they covered like Placebo or Tears for Fears (with music video starring Wolfgang Fahrner). Then the band enters with “Calling The Rain” – ‘fuck this life!’ The HFTS logo in the back changes color with the light.

Being in the unusual situation of a seated concert, a guest cannot hold it and jumps up to scream with the lyrics of singer JJ. Songwriter MS delivers the iconic melodies on guitar like in “This Life As A Dagger”. The whole show is captured with several cameras, to preserve this outstanding celebration.

The gun shot in “Dry the River” ends the show. After Ragnarök and La Machine du Moulin Rouge, there are some more stops left: Christuskirche, Bavarian Battle Open Air and Mystic Festival. The schedule of the Theater Akzent continues with Maschek, Patti Smith, Karl Markovics, Adele Neuhauser, Söhne Mannheims and more. And this evening fades with more live music at Karlsplatz and drinks at Four Bells and Johnny’s.
