April 1st, Black Revelation joke they turn their back on Doom and are a medieval Metal band now. Exactly one week after the last Roadtrip To Outta Space with Unsane, an intense combination of Sludge, Hardcore, Noise Rock, Crust and Death Metal collides with Post Hardcore Metal from Czech Republic.
While the soundcheck at Arena Dreiraum is still on, the Beisl invites for a first drink. Then Bloodshed666 (Pulverin, Phal:Angst, The Bassenger) member desolat opens the stage. Since their show at Venster99, the kept returning and released “Elegance is an attitude… to shit on.” and “Get Sick And Let Me Watch You Die”.
After an intro tune, their heavy fuzz fills the room with bursting screams. Political messages come from tape, and for two songs, Michael Masen joins on saxophone, starting with “Great White Northern Shitlicker”. Two new songs will be featured on a new album, release show on 16th October at Venster99.
At the end, fans sing a birthday song. Then Lvmen take the stage, where they presented “Mitgefangen Mitgehangen”. Meanwhile, they have a new record with “Amen” as well. Somehow fitting, the first visuals on the back display a character like a saint or Moses – walking through the parted sea.
Then water and fire are sparkling, like the music, that shifts between brutal speed parts and head-banging grooves. ‘We destroy everything, we lose ourselves’, they find clear words too. The high tense of the music like flashes in the brain make the time fly and feel like seconds.
So Lvmen continue to Bratislava, Trenčín and Vsetín, while desolat will soon play at Brno, Chemnitz and Prague with No Vida. And Roadtrip To Outta Space just announced Monolord and Mars Red Sky, plus Arena hosts the Echoes Of Erebos Festival this year with likes of Lausch and more.
