The Hypocrite (Album 2026)
State Of Strife
Melo Thrash
Since the beginning, the downfall of music and especially the so-called underground was proclaimed. But. Rap am Bogen and Duzz Down San hold up the flag for Hip Hop. The Punk scene is growing strong with names like Count Catfish and Vomits. And the Metal family not only has one of the youngest members with The Devastation, but another Melo-Thrash debut as well.
Notes that ring beyond the borders of Lower Austria: State Of Strife tear down the fences of Amstetten and break the mask of „The Hypocrite“. Their logo like horns, it is like the wolf in sheep’s clothing or Machine Head’s „Halo“ video. The record cover comes in similar black and white, with a skeleton holding the scales and heart, while its jaw is missing.
So after an epic Bathory intro, „The Crown Must Fall“. Heavy riffing and double bass drums remind of The King Must Die and Blinded Halo. With „Look At Us (State of Strife)“, SOS then come close to the groove of Nu Metal or likes of DevilDriver and Sektor 7.
That groove keeps playing its part coming to the personal highlight „Tatered and Torn“ awaken thoughts of the Dark Age and Kreator, continuing to or better From Hell. State of Strife subsequently combine their clean vocals and growls, even adding a spoken part in „Hollow Sphere“.
Guitars scream and the bass rumbles, before „I Watched The Trants Yoke Arise“ rings in the end with some acoustic Grunge. State of Strife deliver powerful banging Metal, handcrafted like Tassack or (early) Death Angel – including Rob Cavestany’s clean guitar.
Started under the name Twinkiatron, State of Strife shared the stage with acts like Vinegar Hill at venues like Coco. „The Hypocrite“ they will unmask at A-Toll Jugendzentrum on 25th July together with Koan Akku and Corruptum and limited CDs with bonus tracks in their bags.
